Cuneiform stress fractures

Stress fractures of the mid-foot rarely follow a typical healing pattern.  In many cases, non-displaced stress fractures of the cuneiform or navicular heal slowing.  This is particularly frustrating to athletes who want to return to play.  The fracture may feel good with normal pedestrian activities, but once put under the stress of the sport, the symptoms flair.
